As you may know if you've followed the shop for awhile, one of the causes we like to support is the Boys and Girls Club. My kids and I would like to encourage you to donate to them, so for every $5 you donate through this link on our website, we'll gift you a little set of 3d printed stitch markers (that my kids make) and locking pear-shaped markers. 18ish of the 3 markers (in two sizes, small and big) and 20ish of the locking ones.
We thought this would be a good way to celebrate the last week of Socktober. I don't know how long these will last, but I do hope to have them for several days. You're welcome to donate as much as you'd like (what ever quantity of $5 donations you'd like), and we'll give you up to 5 sets. So if you donate $25, we'll gift you 5 sets, but if you donate more, you'll still only get 5 sets. You're welcome to donate as much as you like!<br>
We recommend adding these onto a yarn order, because the normal $6 shipping fee will be added to this order.
We hope to be able to donate over $1000, so please give generously! All money given is donated. We are covering all the fees and costs of making the stitch markers. I'll update you on the blog next week with the total we raise. I will match up to $1000 too, so if that amount is donated through this link, they'll get a check from us for $2000!
If you decide you don't want stitch markers but just want to donate, please put that in the note/comment field at Check Out.... something like "don't send me stitch markers, I just want to donate". And then I'll refund your $6 shipping fee too.
What's new in the shop this week? We have new colors of Cascade Heritage Prints and Malabrigo Rasta (long awaited!) shown below in Dancing Leaves and Dreamscape.
And for those who love Madelinetosh, I keep expanding our already-epic 400+ color array. Today I added Sagebrush Sally, Plastic Flamingo, Puff Pony, Boomslang and Ohana. I don't know what it is, but these Tosh colors are really making me smile today. Their quite fun! I have them on all our bases we offer, shown here on Tosh Merino Light.
Love Regia? It's great for a fun knit that you want to hold up to wear. Perfect for gift socks. We have the new Energy Flow collection which is a wool/cotton/nylon blend that has little neps that give it the feel of those cozy/fuzzy socks that make you grab them off the Target rack when you're passing by. What, not you? I'm totally that person. They come with a Yoga Sock pattern, so just respond to your emailed receipt and ask for it.
We also have two patterns to go with gradient Regia Virtuoso DK, socks (one ball) and a cape (4 balls needed). So just respond to your emailed receipt and ask me for them if you'd like them.
Then, of course, we have a great sale section and some fun Halloween and fall yarns here.
And BTW, I chose recent winners for Socktober contests, so if you're Beth A or Natalie M, check your emails.
I'm so jealous of the bright, pretty colors! I'm always on the lookout for quality self-striping, non-wool sock yarn but it's not always easy.
So pretty!
