It's been a decade since we have had Noro in the shop, but it's BACK and even better than ever!
Noro Ito, color 3
What do I mean by better? First off, we have SO much more than we ever offered before. Different weights, fibers and put ups. Not only do we have the worsted/aran Silk Garden in the typical 50g balls and 100g balls of Silk Garden Sock & Solo colors, but also the Dragon Eggs, which are 200g balls! These are quite coveted and are available in three bases, Ito, Tsubame and Yukata. They are perfect for a scarf, or get several for a larger project.
Noro Silk Garden, 514
Noro has a much softer texture than I remember it having 10 years ago. Especially Silk Garden and Silk Garden Sock. Yes, you still may see some vegetable matter here and there (watch me pick it out in this video LOL), but it's part of the natural fiber, and we've all grown accustomed to it, right?
Noro Madara, color 19 - perfect for this sweater
As you may know, if you adore Noro, it can be hard to come by. Not all colors are available all the time. So if you see a color you like, get it while you see it, as it might not be around predictably. Some colors have been made for two decades, some are made for only a year. And because this is imported from Japan, stock in the US is replenished only a few times a year.
What is a browse-worthy this week? Our huge restock of our handmade faux fur pom poms! Seriously, so many great colors and textures! You'll also find some great rainbows and stripes in the Kits & Clubs section to celebration St. Paddy's Day, as well as some suggestions for verdant greens here. I do love green more than any other color, and March is definitely the time for it!
