If there was an award for the World's Messiest Gusset on a hand knit sock, I think I may have won it yesterday. I've been knitting on the Wonderland Yarn's Confetti sock, a delightful party of a sock yarn that has not only rainbow glitter, but rainbow tweed. And I decided to bring it with me on a car trip on Saturday, and then to Henry's choir concert on Sunday. And the music hall was dark. And I was turning the heel on a black sock yarn. And since I was doing the gusset decreases by feel, and I didn't always remember if I did a decrease on the previous row or not, well.... it's uneven and messy. And I haven't had the heart to yet look at it in the light.
I have this yarn here, and more just arrived that we have yet to inventory. I'm certain we will soon, but last week was so wonderfully busy with the week long holiday party PLUS all our holiday kits and skeins going live that we haven't had a chance unpack a week's worth of shipments.
The Confetti yarn will also be a part of a little New Years Eve Cast On that we'll be doing, with details very very soon!
I think you did a great job considering the knitting conditions! You’re incredibly brave to work on a black sock while on the run AND in the dark too!

You did amazing! How are you able to knit under such circumstances?

I really like this sock. I need a dark sock.
