It's time pounce on our Christmas in July goodies! Santa may be on vacation, but we have all the holly jolly knits in our Kits & Clubs section where we share all the holiday themed goodies to make your crafting a jolly ol' time! Why Christmas in July? Well, when dyers and companies release their Christmas-themed colors in October or November, they usually go so fast that sometimes they are gone by the time you learn about them or you're so busy thinking about Halloween that you completely forget. So a few years ago, I asked some special dyers and makers to create us awesome colors and our yarn companies to send us our holiday colors early so we could celebrate Christmas in July! That way, we get our holiday knits done so we can actually wear them (or so the recipients can) and it gives our beloved dyers and opportunity to have something colorful to create that we all can enjoy.
What has Mrs Claus packed in the bag for us this year?
Our snarky little Baaah Humbug sheep is back on some great mugs that come with some inventive sock sets from The Sheepy Shire!

And how awesome is it that we have knit up samples to share?! There are three different sock sets (full sized skein and mini) and they will each come with one of our mugs, some yarn ball stitch markers and a Soak Wash mini.

Our 12 Days of Stitch Markers, a holiday countdown set, is back! This received rave reviews last year with many of you purchasing three sets (For yourself? For others? Do tell!), so it's back this year. The handmade stitch markers are the same 12 as last year, so if you wanted more of the same, have at it! They are a surprise until you open each tiny envelope, and each is a little polymer clay work of art. Each hand made by our artisan. Don't like surprises? Just email me, Allison, at [email protected] and I'll share a picture all 12 of them if you want. And I'm confident that you'll be all in. (I've already emailed dozens of people the pics over the weekend and gotten great responses!)

We will have several holiday colors from Madelinetosh coming back. These include Mistletoe, Caroling and Mint Condition.

I even have Mint Condition and Caroling dyed up in the unique Unwind DK (Tosh DK dyed on a preknit tape that you unravel as you knit), paired with our pom poms as hat sets! Aren't these just perfect? I love them both. All here while we have them.
Unwind DK knits up at the same gauge as Tosh DK but it's dyed on a preknit tape. For these two colors, I think you'll notice that the stretches of each color segment are a bit longer as you knit. Not gradient, so much, but just an overall different look when knit up.

Veronica and her team at Dream in Color have dyed us up three limited edition colors on Smooshy Sock, and Smooshy with Cashmere (yes, get some for 20% cashmere socks!). Here is Gettin' Blitzen, Santa-gria, and The Naughty List. They are found at the previous links or in the Kits & Clubs section.

Want hand dyed striping sock yarn? We have several Sock Set options from Night Owl Fibers that include a full sized skein of striping sock yarn and a mini. I haven't had time to photograph them all yet, but here's one. All here, but going fast this morning for sure. We all do love a good stripe. I will keep getting these colors too, so if you miss out, there will be more this year.

We have the holiday options from Cascade Yarns for ya! First, the Heritage Prints in colors 129-Mistletoe, 150-Holly and 137-Holly Stripe

Oh, and the Wave one too that gives the look of hand spun yarn! These Cascade options are more durable than hand dyed "hand spun look" skeins- they are good for gifting to people who might not always take the socks out before popping laundry in the dryer. And they are half the price of hand dyed options too. Win win.

And don't forget about the holiday offerings from West Yorkshire Spinners in the UK. We have all seven different options back in stock now (e-mail for the free patterns that come with each holiday color). Another addictive, budget friendly knit that can tolerate wear. The 2023 Holiday color should be available in a few months and I'll post about it too. It's called Nutcracker and it's colorful and sparkly. I have one of the first balls of it already and have been keeping it hidden for months - I'm not even allowed to share a picture until it drops at the end of August!! You can get previous years' colors now, but Nutcracker I'll definitely share here and on social media when I'm allowed to sell it at the end of August.

Then also imported from West Yorkshire Spinners is a festive blanket kit that had all of us ooo-ing and aaah-ing at the recent summer tradeshow in Chicago. This 55"x56" blanket is made from 15 skeins of aran weight Shetland yarn. The kit comes with all the yarn you need plus the pattern. I love that we have it early in the year for you so that you can get to knitting now and have it on your lap by the time the Christmas season rolls around. It's not an inexpensive holiday project, but we will have it for $239, which is a savings of around 10% of the regular retail price. Can you imagine knitting several to pass along to your kids as an heirloom?? How wonderful!

I found a lot more items I forgot about since I posted about this last week. We were still digging our way out of our Midsummer Sale craziness (thank you for the abundance of orders!!), so I found that once my mind cleared from that fog, I realized we had A LOT more, which is all here now. Thank you for giving us what is usually a very busy and fun day for us. We aim to get orders out within 24 hours, but on busy days like this, sometime it takes a full day or two. And if you request we wind things, know that tacks on another day or two (and the items aren't returnable then either).
If you are an in-person shopper, don't wait until next Saturday to try and buy these in person because much of it will be gone within a day or two. Order online and pick up in the shop when we're open.
