Dear Knitters,
Hello! I bought some Mineville Wool Project yarn- (a DK weight Mulberry colour) and am having trouble figuring out a good pattern for a shawlette or smallish side rectangluar shawl for my neice. Don’t want it to be too labour intensive as I like to knit while watching TV. I have 3 skeins @ 200 meters each (so three full sized skeins). I don't have to use it all. I’ve made the hug shot, and like it, but am looking for something a bit more symmetrical that would work with this. Ideas?
I knit, but not crochet.
Thanks!

You could make an Odyssey shawl by Joji with just one color? Or try a Stories From Snoqualmie Valley?
A Touchstone is always a safe bet too!

I made an easy shawlette, the pattern is Over-Your-Shoulder Shawlette design by Susan Mills. I got the pattern from a magazine, unfortunately I don’t remember which magazine as I just kept the pattern not the magazine. I think it might have been out of Creative Knitting. The designer does have patterns on Ravelry (although I couldn’t find this one), perhaps you could message her to find out where you could get the pattern.
Sorry I don’t know how to show you a picture of the shawlette. It is just garter stitch with a simple knitted fringe, done as you knit each row.

I've made the Handspun Boomerang shawl pattern (free on Ravelry) in one color of yarn. It's very easy.

The Bendigo Shawl by Jessica Gore and Amery Donald Waalen aren't "true" rectangles, but their the most rectangular shawls I found on Ravelry, and they seem very easy and simple in design. I hope that helps!!

A Dudester Scarf might work. An easy knit and a sharp looking scarf

do you have a ravelry.com account ? if not, you might want to create one and then do a search for shawls and scarfs and all kinds of stuff !
