I have so much to share with you today, b/c it's MINI MANIA! So many cute color combos from Wonderland Yarns to share! But first, we are able to give away these adorable stitch markers though Friday with your orders, so please do place your order online as usual and we will automatically tuck a set of these mitten/glove/locking stitch markers into your parcel before it leaves here. It's just our way of gifting you a little holiday treat!
Now back to the little jewels of the yarn world, mini skeins. Most dyers sell them in sets b/c selling one at a time is a recipe for shoplifting or losing these behind a shelving unit or basically an inventory nightmare for all. So they are usually packaged beautifully in colors that the dyer thinks look great together, and I'd have to agree. Wonderland Yarns packages theirs in little sets of 5, and gosh if these aren't downright inspiring!

These sets would look great in an Indie Cowl, a Mistral Scarf, Crowl Wool Mitts, Habitation Throw, Wingspan... What are your fave patterns to make with mini skeins? I've learned that I like having them on hand for things like contrasting toes and heels on socks, a stripe or two on the leg of socks, a pretty edge on a shawl, adding to one of the kids' hats. Basically it's just nice to have them when you want to make a pattern your own and add a little more color.
If you love minis like I do, also check out Sweet Georgia's Party of Five sets. The colors are super addictive. Shown below are Tofino Roadtrip and Snapdragon
And these are just about the cutest things ever. We have more of the Opal mini ball sets. Self patterning yarn in little itty bitty mini balls. 28 of them.
Next week, check the blog to see our sock sets and mini sets from some of our dyers for the holidays. Gosh, I can't wait to share everything! Maybe also check tomorrow for a contest.... And in another week or so we start our 12 Days of Sock Yarn contests here on the blog!
