We just got a stunning batch of Tosh DK in stock and it's now all listed on our website bringing our total of ready-to-ship colors to 240! That's crazy, right? I really wish we were open in person so you could see the huge array of Madelinetosh we have right now. But since we won't be for another few months, I do hope that the pictures I take with each batch make it easy to see what we have and the true colors of everything.
This photo is from today in the shop, as you can see, we have plenty on display as soon as you would walk in the door. But we also have backstock that triples what you see here.
Here are a few that stuck out this time for me. Speckles, oh SPECKLES. Shown below are Rey, Hydroponic, Rosehipster, Lost in Trees and Leaf Fall.
And here are a few colors that were discontinued several years ago and brought back by the new Tosh owner last year. Tosh is moving from their current huge dye shop in Texas to a new dye studio, so I am just so happy that they were still able to send us such a wonderful batch of yarn, given how difficult I'm sure it is right now. They are even in the middle of dyeing us up a batch of TML, amid this move!
Shown below on Tosh DK are formerly discontinued Cathedral, Mansfield's Garden Party, Filigree, Foxglove and Georgia Okeefe.
And if you love a good green like I do, we have some verdant skeins back in stock. Check out Jade, Mill Pond and Tannenbaum. All on Tosh DK. But we do have all these on fingering weight options too.
If you're looking for something special for a hat or other winter accessory, this stuff is sure to make you happy. I also like the idea of a warm, winter shawl. Perhaps that's because it's been quite cold here in Indiana over the past week. And I'm the one here at the shop today (no, we aren't open to the public yet, but hoping in the spring) and a 1940s post office that's all brick with 20some windows never quite seems to get warmed up....

Want a few pattern ideas for Tosh DK? Joji Locatelli's Odyssey shawl is the most popular option for a shawl in this yarn. I did a blog post last year about color combos and I'll show them again below. If some of these skeins are sold out, you know I'm always happy to help you assemble your own color combo if you e-mail me at service@simplysockyarn.com. But because the photos on our website are so accurate, it's pretty easy to come up with a combo on your end that works well. And if you aren't quite sure, just hit me up in an e-mail listing the colors you are considering and I'm happy to compare them in person and take a look.
The Age of Brass and Steam and Touchstone are also great patterns to try. And you could make them larger too, if you want something more wrap-y and less only-covering-the-shoulders.
