I have received several e-mails this week requesting color help for Stephen West's newest pattern, the Painting Bricks Sweater, so I thought I'd share some of the color combos I like from what we have here at the shop. Maybe you will like one of these as well, or maybe you will like where one is headed and send me an e-mail saying what you do and don't want, and we'll have a jumping off point for the combo that will speak to you.
Picture used with test-knitter-Susie's permission. Visit her pattern page for details- she did just the yoke in the brick, which is awesome, right?
If you do want help, or just someone with eyes on the yarn who can say "Yes! This is a perfect combo." or "No, that one color clashes or doesn't do anything for it so let's sub this." then please do e-mail me, Allison, at [email protected]. Now, if you see the color combo you like is limited on quantity, I wouldn't wait to hear back from me to buy it b/c some yarns are hard to get right now and it could sell out before we can get in-person opinions on it (what with social distancing here at work, things like that take a few days instead of one). So if you really like one of these combos or something else, don't wait on me to get it.
Please know that the photos of the yarn shown below are ones that I simply snapped with my phone to give you an idea of how they look together. They are not color corrected and calibrated like the ones on our website. So the ones on our website are a better gauge of how the colors actually look.
