Casapinka. She’s not a thing. But still thankful for her, her humor, and the gorgeous patterns she shares with the world.
Todays flyover. It was cool to share with the kids how others are showing people they matter.
Mineville Wool Project yarn. I mean, COME ON. Don’t we need these spring hues in our lives? This will be in the Sale Section tonight or tomorrow for just $15 for a 125g skein of merino/nylon Sock.
Quiet. Right now the boys are outside scootering together and it means I can hear the birds chirping it’s so quiet. That’s rare nowadays in our household. Spoke too soon. They are back and red and sweaty and asking for Band-Aids, darnit. Bobbi- remember this shirt from five years ago?! Henry loves wearing it right now cuz he's reading books about planets in school.
Skilled laborers. We have a sinkhole and it's made our drainage system collapse in the backyard. Thankfully, there are skilled workers who know how to fix things. And thankfully it's all outside our home so we don't have to have any contact. But this was not an expense I was planning on at this time. And it's not a little expense. Who knew dirt and rocks and stuff cost so much?? GAH. LIFE.
Teachers. Did you know that next week is Teacher Appreciation Week? If you know of love a teacher, show her some love next week. If you're a teacher, what would you really love to get or what would make you feel truly appreciated at this time?
Henry is so handsome. You will blink your eyes and the boys will have grown in to men. Enjoy this time with them, it will not last. From a great grand mother.

Hi Allison - my husband is a teacher and teaching in a way he never thought he would. Thank you for recognizing teachers. Next Wednesday, May 6th is National Nurses Week, so my husband and I will get to celebrate our professions, together! Flyover was great - right over our house in Queens! Thank you essential workers! Got my yarn today for the Breathe and Hope Shawl, yarn is beautiful, as usual!

Thankful for LYS's - even if they are 850+ miles away! My yarn came today. It's beautiful! Now to remember where I put my size 4 needle . . . .

Enjoy your boys! Before you know it, even your grandchildren will be older than them! And you’ll be thinking, where did the years go?

We added underground service line coverage to our homeowners policy. It seems to be a new trend in insurance. It wasn't too expensive. It gives me peace of mind after seeing a neighbor's front yard all torn up to replace the sewer line. I'm sorry you're having to deal with that, but at least it's all outside!

Thank you! This has been so difficult, not being able to see my kids. I teach French so I get the same kids year after year and really get to know them. Just found out yesterday if the students have an A, they don’t have to do any more work. That’s most of my students because I mostly have college bound kids. It makes me sad that they don’t have a better system in place for this. I think what I want most (and I do love yarn lol), is to be back in school with my classes. I like being on a routine. I try to keep myself on one at home but it’s hard to work when all these projects and yarn are calling my name. As crazy as my days are when we’re in school (I travel between two schools), I love it and I love my kids.
Sorry about the big expense you have in the backyard. Hang in there!! Thank you for posting on your blog. I enjoy reading it everyday!
