Today I wanted to share some sock yarn options for those who love matching socks. I knit a lot of self patterning and striping socks and I don't mind if they don't match perfectly. While I did find knitting these Urth Sock Kit color 57 satisfying (two matching 50g balls of yarn!), when I'm knitting from a 100g ball I just start the second sock where I left off the first. I don't search for the matching pattern repeat and start there.
But I know I lot of people DO like matching socks, or more than that, CAN'T STAND the thought of non-matching socks.... and for those people there are several options. Not only are Urth Sock Kits great, but also look at Turtlepurl Yarn if you want another hand dyed option. But today I'm going to show of Regia Pairfect because I just got more of this in stock, including new colors, the first four shown here. Pairfect is nice b/c it comes in one 100g ball, but there's a yellow section in the middle of the ball that shows you where the center is. So basically you knit the first sock and then when you're done you pull out more yarn until you reach the yellow piece and then you start again. Magically you get two matching socks.
I also have restocks of the popular Pairfect Rainbow. And I do love a thick, bold striping sock, don't you?
There's also more of the kid-sized balls of Pairfect which are great for smaller socks or little accessory projects.
And of course if there's Regia, there's some Arne & Carlos designs to go with.
*Just a reminder that I'm committed to blogging every day during this time (instead of the typical 2-3 times a week) to connect with others. Please do comment and share with me here if you like! You'll see the typical yarn updates and shop tidbits, but likely also a bit more family and personal stuff.
I received my yarn and tote today. I will enjoy my time at home(the little bit I get because I’m a healthcare worker). Hope you weather this storm

My absolute favorite striped sock is a Turtle Purl from a while ago, maybe Burberry? colorway.
Working currently on a lovely light aqua cotton dog sweater, my design. We won't discuss the wips in my chairside bag. Or the unwound yarn waiting for a sweater.
Best wishes to all in the shop: stay well!
