While we are continuing to ship to you six days a week, it's becoming increasingly difficult and unpredictable to import yarn. While we are still getting yarn here and there from US dyers who are still able to operate safely, we are still waiting on packages from Irelend that were shipped nearly 2 months ago. But we are able to get some packages from Canada, so Emily at Mineville Wool Project has sent us a limited run of a beautiful 2ply sock yarn for the Sale Section. It's 125 grams, so 25% more than usual, and instead of retailing around $30, which would be typical for 500 yards, it's only $15! That's a huge savings for such a wonderful, hand dyed yarn.
Mineville Wool Project is an offshoot of Fleece Artist that specializes in limited runs and end runs of yarns they get from mills at special prices and I pass along the savings and offer it in our Sale Section. Sometimes I can get the yarn for a year or more (like the DK weight we will have again soon) but sometimes it's just for a month. Such is the case of this 125g Sock.
This will trickle in over the next week or two, so you'll see more colors added to the Sale Section as I get them.. So if you see something you like, please do not hesitate. At 50% off this is likely to go fast.

While this superwash merino/nylon yarn is great for a big pair of socks, it's also wonderful for sweaters. Think Pavement or Boxy (shown above) or Breathing Space (shown below). Or make a Breezeway for spring!!
Regardless of what you're thinking of making, this is a fab deal that is most definitely stashable for later. The colors are vibrant and gorgeous, the texture is perfect, and it's an all around good staple. I did post 35 colors last night and overnight they went fast and now just around 10 colors. More are making their way through Customs today, and so if we're lucky we will have a batch next week and a final batch this summer. I grabbed one skein for myself- I couldn't resist! Thank you Emily for getting your amazing yarn to us during a pandemic!
