Pattern designer Casapinka is helping Simply Socks Yarn Company celebrate 2020 with something that I know you really need in your life- patterns for using all those single skeins you have of yarn you couldn't live without! One of the things I hear you all mock-complaining about is "What do I make with all these single skeins of hand dyed yarn that I couldn't live without?!"
This. This is what you make. And I'm gifting it to you through Friday.
One and Done photo used with Permission of Casapinka. Original shawl uses fingering weight Miss Babs in Perfectly Wreckless and Mad Hatter colors. We have both Hot Shot Sock and Tarte (has a bit of sheen from Tencel) in stock. Also Estrellita for some sparkle.
We all have skeins in our stash that we adore and saw and couldn't live without. Impulse purchases that we only grabbed one of, club skeins that we didn't choose and aren't sure what to knit with them, that gorgeous hank that we saw on vacation and want to knit something that will evoke shore-life feelings. I want to help you start out 2020 by knitting up one or more of those in a pattern designed to show off those lovely variegated colorways. And Casapinka is really good at such patterns, right?
Woven pictured used with permission of Casapinka. Yarn used is also fingering weight Miss Babs, as linked with the above photo.
Not enough? Well, how about the Woven shawlette too! Yes, I'm emailing you two free patterns with your online purchase. One and Done and Woven. You deserve it.
What do you have to do to get your two patterns? Just purchase an item online Wednesday, January 8 through Friday Jan. 10 and after your order ships out I'll e-mail the patterns to you. If you don't receive the patterns by the time you receive your yarn/needles in the mail, just wait a day or two and then e-mail me at service@simplysockyarn.com b/c sometimes our e-mails do go to your junk folder (or add service@simplysockyarn.com now as a contact). Especially with attachments. If you're local and want these patterns, as usual just order online and then choose "in store pickup" and you'll be e-mailed your patterns and can pick up your items as usual on our open days. Please do give us several days to e-mail your patterns out. We expect a big response and such things take time.
This is just my way of saying thank you as SSYC enters our 15th year of serving you. You all are wonderful to get to know online and in person, you have given me great advice in growing SSYC over the years, and you allow me and my staff and dozens of dyers and artisans to do what we love every day. We are all very grateful.
Qing Singles in Cuttlefish. Wouldn't this look lovely in one of these patterns?
What might you like to order to get your patterns in your Inbox? We have a stunning amount of Qing Yarn from London right now and just got our latest restocks from Hedgehog Fibres of Ireland and Madelinetosh. Opal Yarn just released two new collections, Fairytale and Magic Sky (I'm knitting this color right now). We have new colors from Spun Right Round, and since they've stopped offering their 80/20 Sock, it's even discounted til gone. Then add a Sock Ruler or Yarn Cozy to your order, cuz everyone needs one on hand and we just got more in.
Oh, and we just got our second batch of the Dream in Color Colossal Sock special in the Sale Section. 50% more yarn for 45% off. It's amazing and this special is exclusive to us to help us celebrate our 15th year. I expect to get this yarn about once a month - hopefully throughout 2020. The first batch sold out fast last month. At just $21 a skein, it's an amazing value. Want more details about this yarn? Check the blog here.
What an awesome promotion and gift to us knitters! Can’t wait to order! Thank you!
