I love when we get a shipment from a dyer and a color that we already loved looks even better with the most recent lot. Case in point, our most recent shipment from Madelinetosh. A few colors that were already great arrived again, and they are oh-so-much more vibrant and amazing, don't you think?
Above, older lot of The Radness and below the new lot of The Radness (both on Twist Light)
And how about this one?
Shown above, older dyelot of Brass and below the new lot of Brass (both on Twist Light)
And the this gorgeousness....

And wow, what a difference on Red Fox!

As you may know, we take new photos with each batch of hand dyed yarn to ensure that differences in dyelots are shown in photos. It takes a lot of extra time, but as an avid knitter, I know that I would want to know if I'm purchasing one of these if they actually look like the picture shown, or like a picture from 5 months ago or from the dyer herself from a lot from three years ago. I know that we aren't the only yarn game in town, so I do hope that when you find yarn we don't carry that you love, that the person you are purchasing from takes pictures when there are changes. Of course, there will always be slight differences in skeins within the same lot or differences in how screens show colors, but dang, these images really do illustrate why new photos are important, don't they?
The new colors are amazing! And I really appreciate the time you take to get updated photos on your site. Thank you!

I so appreciate that you keep your photos updated. As someone who doesn’t live near a LYS that sells many hand-dyed yarns, I have to order online. I have never received a yarn from Simply Socks that didn’t look like what I ordered...it’s why I am never nervous about trying a new dyer from you!

I have been knitting for about 60 years. I was the oldest of three girls and the one mommy chose to teach to knit. I am so thankful she gave me this lifelong skill.
