It's time to share the details of our upcoming Valentine Knit Kit! This collection goes live on Monday, February 4, usually mid-morning EST. Our holiday kits do tend to sell out in a few hours, so please don't hesitate visiting this link around that time if you think this is for you. What's in this year's kit? Let's take a look!
The highlight, as usual, is the yarn. This one is dyed by Kayanna of Stitch Together Studios on her Stitch Swanky base yarn, which is an undeniably luxurious blend of 70% superwash merino, 20% silk and 10% cashmere. It's a stunner of a skein and I will have this in the shop in the near future in a wide array of Kayanna's imaginative colors. I'll post here later this spring when it happens. The limited edition colorway is Blooming Prairie and comes with a mini skein for toes and heels, or the edge of a shawl or whatever you may fancy. I really can't over-stress how nice this base yarn is.
Want a pattern idea? Copilot would look great in this colorway with the very beginning and end in the blue. I'm knitting that pattern right now in Mechita and it's super nice.
The bag for this kit is a medium sized wedge bag from Mommy Sews. I love the interior fabric as much as the exterior and I love the size- it easily holds a three skein project. It's modern and lovely and will not only protect your project-in-progress, but will look fab too.
Tucked inside your bag you'll find a blue and white striped Yarn Cozy as well as a big Mint Cookie Crunch tasting bar from local Debrand Fine Chocolates. Imagine the best milk chocolate bar hiding chunks of Thin Mint-esque cookies. And then imagine eating the whole thing and not sharing with anyone. At least, that's what I see in my future.
This Knit Kit will go up for sale this Monday, February 4 so that it arrives to you well before Valentine's Day. I greatly appreciate how anticipated our kits are, and I know that it can be frustrating when something you want sells so fast. I do my best to work with our artisans to procure as many pieces as I can, but there is always a limit to how much they can produce and how much time we can dedicate to creating and assembling these. We are just a handful of small businesses working together and doing the best we can. Just know that if you do miss out, we have some beautiful selections planned for this spring and summer! And wow, are we really wishing for spring right now as we are stuck in the middle of this Polar Vortex. Schools, government offices, businesses all closed for the past couple days. Hoping all is back to normal tomorrow and I hope you are all staying safe and warm!
Looks like a fabulous kit. Yarn cozy? That’s a clever idea! One could make there own adapted from a sock pattern. Never thought of.
