Want to try something unique? Wooly Wonka's Arianrhod yarn is the only silk blend I have with sparkles and it's also offered in GRADIENTS. This stuff is so awesome. It would be wonderful in a Kallara shawl, perhaps paired with a solid of Tosh Sock. You'd have the solid stripe of the Tosh, and then the rest of the stripes would gradually change in color from one end of the shawl to the other. I mean, come on. That sounds like one of the coolest shawls ever.
Or just choose any shawl pattern like the one above (for the life of me I can't recall the pattern name, photo used with permission of Wooly Wonka) and let the gradient yarn do the work for you. Shown above in Rainforest. And if gradients aren't your thing, this silky sparkle blend also comes in a wide array of variegated and tonal colors.

Did you join in our Kallara KAL? We've seen so many cool projects on Ravelry and Instagram (tagging with #SSYCkallaralong. I'm seriously considering knitting another one once I'm done with my Sockhead Cowl phase.
Next week on the blog we are celebrating Spring Break with a contest every day! Visit here Monday through Friday to enter to win yarny prizes.
Lovely yarn. I wish someone would come up with a double sized skein of gradient yarn like this so you could knit a good sized shawl with it. 435 yards is enough for a nice shawlette or scarf but not for a full sized shawl.

Very good idea! I have toyed with the idea of using two balls of this yarn, starting from the inside for the first ball and then the second half of the project starting from the outside of the second ball so it goes from one end of the color gradient and the back again.
