It's been a whirlwind of a late summer already. As I indicated earlier this summer, we are expanding SSYC further to introduce more indie dyers and new yarn companies to you this fall. Now I'm so happy to tell you that we now have the amazing colors dyed in the Canadian Rockies by Flock Fibres! Solids and speckles galore, and what I really appreciate about this collection is how well the colors work together.
As I was assembling all these skeins for photos, I couldn't help but put together several sets that I thought would be amazing as Joji Locatelli's popular Starting Point shawl. Of course, you could instead choose three of these for a Free Your Fade if you haven't yet jumped on that band wagon. And as usual, we are happy to help you assemble a Fade or help with color selection for your particular pattern if you e-mail us.
I have all these colors for you on Take a Hike sock yarn or Lone Pine Singles. All the pictures shown below are Take a Hike sock, but there's even more yardage (470!) on the Lone Pine Singles if you are doing a garment or shawl that you might need more than 420.
Parrotfish, Aquifer, Pond Scum, Snow Leopard, and Weathervane are my go-to palette. I'm a sucker for blues and greens and especially a good aqua. But there's something about how these pinks and golds below play together that really speak to me. Below are Rubellite, Princess Tiger Cub, Weathervane, Honey in the Sun and Snow Leopard
Want something autumnal now that the weather is turning? Above are Spiced Pecans, Patina, Geranium Kisser, Silving Lining and Roasted Pumpkin. Love blues and purples? Below are Silver Lining, Lakeshore, Blueberry Girl, Larkspur, and Flowering Desert. Again, all on Take a Hike sock yarn and also available in Lone Pine Singles.
Is there a project you've been considering that you think Flock Fibre would be perfect for? Please do share in the comments and inspire others with your idea!
Colorado Rockies?!?
How about the Canadian Rockies???
Either way, it's great yarn!
