What was the most memorable item you found at Simply Socks Yarn Company this past year? Was it one of our 11th anniversary kits or summer kits? How about a special skein of striping yarn, or a skein from Hedgehog Fibres or Blue Moon Fiber Arts? And if you haven't had the chance to try us yet, what would you like to grab today?

For me, putting together our kits is always memorable. But this year's purchases (hey, it's all mine until YOU buy it!) stick out because not only did I add so many new dyers like that made us all swoon (Yarn Love, House of a la Mode and Life in the Long Grass to name a few) all of our dyers were so prolific in creating new colors and dyeing on new fibers that this really was "yarn overload 2016" like I've called it all year. We have hundreds of colors from Madelinetosh, Dream in Color, Lorna's Laces, Blue Moon Fiber Arts and more. And 2017 promises to be more of the same. Delicious skeins from talented artists around the world, all at your doorstep in a matter of days. Dang, I love what I do. I sure hope it shows!

My most memorable purchase has been Lorna's Laces Solemate yarn. My husband is fascinated that the wicking concept was developed by NASA. I made him a pair of socks from this yarn, and it is the only thing I have knit for him that he uses!

In some ways, the most memorable item was the shop itself -- walking through the door and seeing the array of color and texture. It's an amazing place! The Hedgehog Fibres Fools' Gold that I bought there earlier this fall is tempting me while I work at my Christmas knitting for others.
