I like watching Nightmare before Christmas and some of those terrible-but-loveable claymation movies (Snowmiser and Heatmiser, anyone?) I watched as a child.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (cartoon version), Scrooged, and Love, Actually. All movies should be watched in jammies with a blanket and a cup of tea or hot chocolate!!

My favorite Christmas movies are Holiday Inn, The Santa Clause, and Polar Express.

Haley Burns

For me it's Charlie Brown Christmas, Grinch and Christmas Vacation. I've seen Christmas Vacation so many times I can recite it from memory!!

Megan W

My favorites are Muppet Christmas Carol, It's a Wonderful Life, and Home Alone! :)

Julie kelsay

My three favorite Christmas movies are The Holiday, Holiday Inn and Elf!

Mine are Elf, Home Alone and It is a Wonderful life. I love to knit while watching them :-)

The Family Stone, Elf, and Holiday Inn

I love The night They Saved Christmas --It's A Wonderful Life and Serendipity (because it starts and ends at Christmas time).

Holiday Inn is my all time favorite and then White Christmas and Miracle on 34th Street with Maureen O'Hara and Natalie Wood. Can't beat Edmund Gwenn as Kris Kringle!

My favorites are Family Stone, Christmas Vacation, and November Christmas. Oh I also love Love Actually!!! I have too many!!

Kim Whincup

Grinch, Elf and Miracle on 34th Street.

It always hard to pick a favorite, so glad we get to say three! I'll go with It's a Wonderful Life, Elf, and Muppets Christmas Carol. (In no particular order.)

White Christmas, Holiday Inn, and Home Alone

White Christmas, The Ref (not sure this a Christmas movie per se, but it does take place over Christmas), Christmas Vacation. Oh and all of the claymation movies and Charlie Brown and A Christmas Carol (George C. Scott version).

Martha Sayles

I love A Christmas Story, The Year Without a Santa Claus, and The Santa Clause. And... I have to knit through each movie!!! Such a hardship, LOL!

Holiday Inn is my favorite. It, not White Christmas, is the movie that introduced the song White Christmas. Actually I love Christmas movies so it's hard for me to pick just 3. But Elf is right up there. And an oldie but goodie Christmas in Connecticut. It's about a "career girl" who writes a homemaking column for a newspaper. Her editor suggests she invite a serviceman to her home in Connecticut to spend Christmas with her (non-existent) family & to cook a traditional Christmas feast. Of course, there is no husband or toddler & she can't cook at all. And While You Were Sleeping is another I like a lot - in large part because much of it was filmed within a couple of miles of my house.

Only three?! Okay...Scrooged, Elf and Prancer. Every year, without fail, I'm knitting socks watching these movies. This is such a generous (and fun) contest! Thank you!

Joyce Selzer

A Christmas Story, The Nativity Story, Miracle on 34th Street

Jennifer Peterson

Oh fun!!! Favorite Christmas movies, A Christmas Story, The Santa Clause, and Home Alone. Although there are soooooo many good Christmas movies!!!

Cheryl Cauthen

I don't really watch many movies. I like the peanuts Christmas show. Elf. And the How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Ohmygosh I love Holiday Inn and Elf. 3rd place is a toss up between Christmas Vacation and The Holiday!

Julie V.

Elf, The Holiday, Little Women. I know the last isn't all about Christmas, but I love reading/watching it during this time of year.

Lynn Nicholson

I have to watch A Christmas Story every year. It reminds me of my childhood. I also like the 1938 version of A Christmas Carol and the original Miracle on 34th Street.

Lacinda Maruth

Elf, How the Grinch Stole Christmas (cartoon version), and A Christmas Story

Hmmm, tough choice! I'm going to have to go with "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (the old cartoon version, not the Jim Carrey movie); "Scrooge" (the 1970 version starring Albert Phinney) and "A Christmas Story." Honorable mention goes to "Love Actually."

Elf, Love Actually and rudolf. Must admit that I haven't seen that last one since I was a kid. Maybe this year!
