On the first day of sock yarn, Simply Sock Yarn gave to me...
three skeins of Hedgehog DK in Teacup!
To have a chance at these three squishy skeins from our lovable Irish dyers, just answer the following question in the comments below:
What are you favorite three Christmas movies? And if you don't have any, just tell us something else that you like to watch each year.
Mine are currently White Christmas, Christmas Vacation and Elf. In that order. White Christmas is by far my fave, and I keep meaning to watch Holiday Inn because one of you told me that if I liked White Christmas then I would likely adore Holiday Inn as well. I just love the songs and the costumes and the dancing. I do like Love, Actually as well. But it's not an every-year type movie like the others.
Want to know more about the 12 Days of Sock Yarn tradition? See here.
I like the original (cartoon) Grinch, but other than that I don't watch any holiday movies on a regular basis. Short attention span, I guess.

The Muppets A Christmas Carol, It's a Wonderful Life, and a non-holiday movie Dr Zhivago make the list every year.

I don't have any favorite Christmas movies, but the Nutcracker is a must. Usually at the theater and any showings of it I can find on tv. My favorite is the Royal Ballet's version.

My favorites are White Christmas, Santa Claus the Movie, and Rudolf. All throwbacks to childhood.... There are others, but those make the season magical for me! My sweet husband even bought me a new dvd copy of Santa Claus the Movie last week since my vhs version had to be left behind when we moved.

I like A Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation and The Family Stone. I'm not sure if The Family Stone is a Christmas movie, but it does take place during Christmas and I really like it.

We are definitely not traditionalists when it comes to Christmas movies, so I would say Love, Actually, Die Hard, and Scrooged!

I do not have a favorite movie but we love watching the Hallmark Channel during the Holidays for all of the Christmas/Holiday movies. We watch so many every year that the titles are a blur. I have to watch part of the movie to know if I have already seen it or not!

Hands down, Christmas Vacation X3. "The little lights are not twinkling!"

Mine are The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and Return of the King. I'm not sure why I think of them as Christmasy - possibly because I reread the books every Christmas vacation for years, possibly because the movies came out near winter break when I was in college, possibly because holidays are the only time to watch movies that long.

I guess the full range from Dickens to Love Actually. I don't think I've seen some of the other classics somehow(Wonderful Life).
Thanks for doing this again!
