My favorite Christmas movies. . . White Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life and. . .hmm.... A Garfield's Christmas. Hard choice on the last one.

This is a great question. My three favorite Christmas Movies are: Holiday Inn (I really want that house), It's a Wonderful Life (in black and white, uncut) and The Santa Clause. There are so many others - I love this time of year!


I do have a few favorites.........Charlie Brown's Christmas, White Christmas and Christmas Vacation. Funny thing, this was a question asked at a holiday dinner last evening.

I love White Christmas also, then Elf and I'll be Home for Christmas. Christmas Vacation is another favorite too.


Mine are, in no particular order: Love Actually, The Dead (movie of the James Joyce short story, just in case there are other movies with the same title), and A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Muppet Christmas Carol is my all time favorite, love Elf, and I always try to watch It's a wonderful Life once during the season.


I like horror movies so mine are a bit different: the first is more normal: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, but then there are Rare Exports, a Finnish movie with an evil Santa Claus, and Jack Frost, featuring a mutant killer snowman.

I saw Christmas in Connecticut with Barbara Stanwyck for the first time last year, and that'a a new favorite. I also love Rick Steves' European Christmas (more of a travel special/documentary), and Miracle on 34th Street. It's hard to just pick three! :-)

Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, and Die Hard. Although Die Hard isn't technically a Christmas movie, it takes place during Christmas, and it's a Christmas Eve tradition for my husband and I to watch it each year after we've put all the presents under the tree.

Here's my list: White Christmas, The Muppet's Christmas Carol, and Hogfather. Hogfather isn't a Christmas movie, you say? OF COURSE IT IS. Hogfather is totally a Christmas movie. IT IS A TERRY PRATCHETT CHRISTMAS MIRACLE. Now go watch it. Death is in it.


My three favorites are Elf, Charlie Brown Christmas and now that I have Kids I like the Thomas the Tankengine Christmas movies. I also like watching HarryPotter Marathons when they are onTV. Imagine being at Hogwarts for Christmas!!
