If you follow the SSYC Instagram feed, you may have noticed a few teasing pictures of these two Poste Yarn colors over the past month. Finally they are ready for you! Say hello to Skagit Valley Tulip Festival
and Bourbon Street!
Here's a picture of Bourbon Street drying, if you'd like to see the how the colors will look as stripes, rather than in a skein as shown above. It gives you a better idea what it would look like knit up with the thick swaths of color, doesn't it?
These are my types of colors. Bright and summery, cheerful, vivid, with unexpected bits of color that break in each swath. That acidic green in Boubon Street is super awesome. Like a lot of the "solid" colors in our stripes, you'll notice nuances when you knit- that each color is quite dynamic and almost tonal or slightly variegated in nature. These are truly great knits.
For those of you who have been waiting on particular sport team or wizard colors, we've dyed a big ol' batch of many of those too. Check it out!
I love your yarn but unless I never paid attention before I am dissappointed that you raised your prices and decreased the amount of yarn in a skein.

I put my order in :-)
Allison - can you suggest any of your solid colors to coordinate with your 3 newest Poste Striping yarns for heels, cuff ribbing and toes?
Thanks!!! LOVE these new colors - can't wait to see them in person.

Hi Ruth, it's the same amount of yarn as we've always had and the prices haven't gone up since we started. But there is one exception- the 6-color stripes are $2 more bc they are a lot more labor intensive. And you'll likely see all the prices on Poste Yarn go up soon bc of the rise in the cost of the base yarn.
Hope this helps!

Bourbon Street for me. Ordered enough for cowl and fingerless gloves. Love yarn with wide stripes in beautiful colors and you hit a homerun with these two. Also received my recent Sock Club Yarn and it is fabulous. Love your yarn.

Thank you, Susan! I love this month's club color too. It's fun to see an idea develop to a skein.
