I love the depth of colors that Melanie achieves on each skein of her Black Trillium yarn. I've carried several bases of hers over the years (I have Pebble and Merilon right now), and I have a new one for you in Lilt Sock. Lilt is a sumptuous blend of superwash merino and silk with a slight sheen and a wonderful drape.
When this arrived here last week, Rachael ask if we might need a sample for the store. Perhaps this pattern and this color? Well sure! She's nearly done with her shawl and I'll post a complete photo when it's blocked and dry. I can see why she was so excited about getting started... and finished.
I think the pattern would look amazing in any of the Lilt colors. Which do you like the best? This yarn would also be great for socks- it's tightly plied so would hold up really nicely and have great stitch definition. Perhaps try Skew, the adorable Owlie Socks, Drachenschwingen, or Gladys.
I'm using a lot of silk blends lately. They feel so lush and drape so well. Thanks for sharing this lovely yarn with us!
