SSYC is having a March Madness sale which is set to start in the shop tomorrow during our in-person shopping hours. But I thought I'd start things a day early online! Afterall, we could all use an infusion of color right now- it's still white outside, and now the temps have dipped back down below 0 again. So let's kick February out the door with feet adorned in colorful hand knit socks (shown below in Rio color 1656, which just sold out with more coming in a week).
If you're planning on coming into the shop on March 1 (Saturday from 10-4) to snag some of these, you are welcome to place your order online and then e-mail that you'd like to pick them up instead of ship. But I don't anticipate any of these colors selling out in one day. Edited to add: OK, I was wrong. A few hours later a few are already sold out, but I hope to get more.
So what do I have for you? Check out the Sale Section for dozens of OnLine Supersock colors- in fingering, DK and worsted weight. Some even infused with aloe & jojoba. All of them machine washable and dryable. All wonderful deals of 50% off or more. The details of these collections are below.
Online's Supersock 4-ply London Color. A collection of self-striping black and gray with a thin line of color. Perfect for those days when you want your socks to blend in to what you're wearing instead of stand out. Or great for that person who wants you to knit them black socks, but the idea of all those tiny black stitches makes you want to teach them to knit for him or herself. This is a collection I could wear every day of the week.
Online Supersocke Rio 4-ply Color. I just may stash one of each of these. Not only are they colorful, but the fiber is infused with aloe and jojoba, which pampers your feet and lasts through several dozen washes.
Online Supersocke 4-ply Sydney Color. These colors you need to see in person to see how vibrant they are, and to see how the colors in each sock really play together. The kind of socks you'll be proud to wear or gift to someone.
Online Supersocke 6-Ply Vegas Color. This 6-ply, DK weight yarn is a quicker knit that the traditional 4-ply yarn shown above. You'll have thicker socks that are not only warmer, but hold up to wear even better. Each ball has 150 grams, so you're getting 50% more than a typical ball of yarn. PLUS this one's infused with aloe and jojoba to pamper those tootsies.
The following three collections are restocks of ones you may have seen in the Sale Section a couple months ago, but they sold out and we've been able to get a bit more.
Online Supersocke 4-ply New York Color. Tonal stripes that are not only fun to knit, but great to wear.
Online Supersocke 6-Ply Milano Color. Choose among these eight colors for a quick, satisfying knit. The finished socks will be slightly thicker than their fingering weight cousins, and will also be warmer and wear a bit better. A 150 gram ball.
Online Supersocke 8-ply Aspen Color. This is a rare light-worsted weight collection. It knits up into thick socks that defy cold temperatures. Also consider for accessories like mittens, hats and scarves. One ball for smaller feet, two balls for large feet.
Oh what a fun post! Love it! One of these days I really want to visit the shop in person!

Leslie, I do believe I'll be getting more of a few of the collections in a week, but not the Sydney... it's gone and discontinued.

Allison - if one should magically appear in future boxes - please let me know! Knew I shouldn't have waited, so it's on me. They are lovely collections.
