The wait is over! If you want to buy this awesome yarn online, Simply Socks Yarn Company is the place to be! I'm proud to offer such a wide array of the highest quality sock yarn in my shop, and Blue Moon Fiber Arts definitely fits our promise of offering you the best we can find at the fairest prices we can. After nearly nine years of waiting, Tina (owner of BMFA) has decided to change things up a bit and offer her yarn to select shops to sell online. We are the first local yarn shop to debut this option to you, to purchase from the comfort of your own home.
What do I have for you? First off, BMFA's most popular yarn, Socks that Rock Lightweight (shown above in Broody Bantams). This yarn is obviously great for socks, but is also fab for sweaters, baby garments and accessories. Snag one each of the colors you like to keep on hand for things like a stunning Sockhead hats (like I did) and Vanilla Latte socks. Afterall, this yarn is perfect to keep on hand for simple projects because the colors can certainly stand alone.
I have a dizzying array of color choices for you, but I know that many of you will be most excited about the holiday colors. These are usually available just the last couple months of the year, but I know that some of you like to snag Christmas-themed colors early to make sure you have it for when you need it. So you'll notice several of these colors in this batch.
Want a thicker weight Socks that Rock? I also have the heavyweight (shown above in Cockamamie, one of Tina's heirloom chicken colorways), which is a light-worsted weight which comes in a very generous 7 ounce skein (nearly double the size of similar yarns). This would make awesomely warm socks, super cool hats, mittens, baby garments and blankets. Try one of the Tipsy colors, which are white with a tip of color to them. Wouldn't that be awesome for a baby blanket? Mostly white with just a few streaks of color here and there?
Want some BFL? I have that too! Shown above in Black Magic, this fingering weight wool sucks up the color in a stunning way, giving you super saturated skeins. This base isn't superwash, so don't agitate it with hot water, but instead handwash cold. Makes awesome accessories.
We all deserve luxury, so I have a treat for you. Marine Silk Lace (shown above in Copperline) and Marine Silk Fingering (shown below in Jade). There's something about this combination of silk (51%) merino and sea cell (a plant fiber) that creates an almost metallic-looking skein. The sheen on this is unmatched in anything I've seen at this price. The Marine Silk fingering weight has nearly 500 yards, and the lace weight has over 850. Plenty of yardage for larger projects. If either of these is something you think you might like, please don't hesitate bcause I have a limited amount.
Like several of the hand dyed lines I offer, I hope to get in batches a few times a year. But I don't expect to have BMFA in stock all the time. I may procure enough of some colors to last an hour or a few weeks. I'll do my best to have the skeins in the shop that you want, so if you have suggestions for types of BMFA yarn or colors, just e-mail me at service@simplysockyarn.com. I'm here to listen and get what you need!
Happy Birthday to me...yay!! It was hard to pick, but I have 3 lovely skeins coming my way. Thanks, Allison!!

Thanks for always looking for new items to bring to your shop and customers. You are the best! (I'm still trying to find time to use the skeins I got in my Christmas box - I made some fingerless mitts with one and am always asked where the yarn came from.)

I knew I'd be drooling - just didn't realize I'd need a bib! These are just beautiful!! I have been wanting to make some shawls with lace-weight yarn and several of these colors were jumping up at me just wanting to be noticed. Thank you, Allison, for making this possible!
