Are you interested in celebrating Valentine's Day with some fiber? Then read on and see what's coming tomorrow (Thursday) in the next SSYC Valentine's Sock Kit!
This modern yet romantic kit features yarn that we dyed in house- dappled with pinks and reds and accented with just a bit of black and gold. And sparkle. Yeah, that's right. Sparkle. The perfect amount of sparkle + 20% cashmere = oh-so-much awesomeness.
Here, take a closer look at the sparkle. This is what I would call the perfect amount of sparkle. Not so much that it takes away from the design. Instead, it accents the unrestrained application of color that knits up into something really cool.
Want to see how this knits up? Sure you do! I'm knitting the One Row Lace Scarf . Really, it's as simple as the title implies. Proof that great yarn can really do all the work for you. It's the perfect mind-vacation after working and trying the wrangle two little boys all day. Two little balls of energy that are stuck indoors because of the below-zero temps. For WEEKS.
I love that this unapologetic wild skein knits up into a dappled fabric that's so feminine and modern. The luxurious merino/cashmere/nylon yarn comes wrapped in an beautifully simple hand made bag from Stacey at Silver Moon Studios. This fully reversible bag is perfect for knitting on the go, and is larger that a typical sock project bag. This would actually qualify as a medium sized bag at 8" by 10".
Want a different look? Just turn the bag inside out, and you have a coordinating fabric that gives you something different to tote around!
Finally, we all like a little something sweet, and I received so many rave reviews about the Debrand chocolate in the last kit that I decide to include another special something from the fine chocolate shop. This hot chocolate spoon is a great way to treat yourself to an evening beverage by swirling it into warm milk, or during the day into a cup of coffee (it's your own cafe mocha!). Want ideas for projects to knit with your skein? In your package you'll receive five free pattern ideas- all projects that I considered before casting on my One Row Lace Scarf.
This kit will go up for sale tomorrow morning, Thursday January 30. Typically, the kits go live when our work day starts, so around 8-10am EST. Because of the hand made nature of the kits I design, there's a limit to how many we have available and they often sell out within a few hours. There are many, but definitely not a thousand. It's just not possible. So if you think that this kit is something you'd like, please don't hesitate when I post here on the blog (or when you receive your e-newsletter) that the kit is available. The announcement is always made on the blog first, before the e-newsletter goes out.
Thank you for your continued support and interest in our SSYC Sock Yarn Kits! It's one of the most fun parts of my job, working with designers and craftspeople to being you something unique and artfully made.
It looks great! I can't wait!

I love it, it's unique and cheery! I hope I can snag one!

No, I do believe the yarn is exclusive to the kit. Unless we accidentally dye one extra or something.
