2013 has been a heck of a year for me and Simply Socks Yarn Company. Not only did the shop continue to grow into our "new" space (our 1940's restored post office), but we had our first teacher/lecturer in Stephanie Pearl-Mcphee and added nearly a ton more yarn to the shop. Not to shabby.
Above is a wee compilation of some of the snapshots I took for our Instagram feed in 2013. If you aren't on Instagram, it's a fun way to get a different (all picture) view of the store (and my life) on a nearly-daily basis. (From top left to right, top then bottom): the Angry Elf holiday sock yarn kit being packed up; our overflowing wall of Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock (all the nearly solids, multicolors and stripes); the Yarn Harlot herself showing a technique in the shop; our spooky Halloween display; a colorful shipment of Socks that Rock from Blue Moon Fiber Arts (coming soon to our online shop!); my Trekking XXL in striping color 534 socks that I ADORE (and you do too b/c I it keeps selling out!); and three of the four of Team SSYC- me, Heather and Rachael on Halloween with our faux mustaches. Very Three Musketeers, don't you think? We're a silly bunch... what with the intoxicating yarn fumes and all.
Thank you for allowing me and my small team to serve you for yet another year. It's been nearly nine full years of me doing what I love and letting you all guide the growth of my shop. I look forward to offering you great yarn at the best prices in 2014... and of course I have fab surprises to come.
I can't wait to come in and get some inspiration!!!!!
