... a week makes.
Wasn't it just last week that I was writing about how great my week had been? The weather was perfect. I was cooking healthy dinners. I made time for knitting and a nice sock was finished. James was celebrating fun holidays at pre-school.
Well, 7 days can sure make a difference. How was this week? It started bad and ended worse. I haven't cooked one meal, but instead have had a steady diet of Wendy's salads and Lean Cuisines. I didn't excersize at all because the weather was awful and hail, HAIL, pelted my house. My 5-month-old car was towed from the scene of a motorcycle accident. No, I wasn't involved. But my power steering just happened to go out at the exact time James and I saw a motorcyclist run into a car. Then Thrusday afternoon Joe went to the ER with severe pain, only to find that he has a larger medical issue.
Last Thursday night I was happily knitting and watching the shows. Last night I was angry and mopey and generally pissed off.
Obviously, things could be much worse. I know this. I could have eaten a steady diet of pizza and burgers. James and I could have been in the accident. Joe could be worse. I could be suffering through a natural disaster.
I'm trying to keep it in perspective. And I'm hoping to find time to knit a stitch or two this weekend.
So sorry about your week- let's hope things start to improve!

Aw, Allison I'm so sorry. If I lived closer (as in close at all) I'd make you some soup and bring it over. I will remember you and yours in my prayers. If there is any way I can help long distance, feel free to ask. Seriously.

Sorry to hear about your bad week. It happens occasionally and hopefully it makes us cherish the good times even more and smile even when things are just okay. Hope you smile again soon.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. When I had hard times, sometimes I used a strange defense mechanism. I made lists of problems I didnt have. Helped me keep things in perspective. Peace.

Sending some good vibes your way and hoping for a quick and complete resolution to the medical stuff. My family went through a tough time a few years ago. I got myself through it by reminding myself, "every day ends." That little phrase still gets me through a bad day, because I know it will end and tomorrow will be a new day with new possibilities. But more importantly, it reminds me to cherish the good days. And well, a good old cry can also work wonders. Peace and love to your family.

Sorry that you had a sucky week. I find that a good knitting session is good therapy after a bad week. I hope next week is better for you.

Feel better Allison, sometime life makes you want to scream. Try and remain positive (attitude makes all the difference) and if all else fails - have a "me" day. Put on an old movie, knit and have a good cry!

Oh Baby Girl; seems to me you have your priorities straight. All those bad things that happened to you and yours could have been much, much worse. Everyone is alive and well and it will get better. Many good and positive thoughts are being sent your way.

Reminds me of the Mother Theresa quote: "God doesn't give you more than you can handle. I just wish he didn't trust me so much." :) Hope you have a better week!

I'm so sorry for your horrible week. You are right, it could be worse, but that doesn't negate the fact that it did completely stink. Take care.
