They sound a lot like some bar cookies my mother used to make that my brother loved but that were too sweet for my taste (I tend to prefer really, really rich stuff not so much sweet - like real shortbread or torte with real whipped cream). If I have time maybe I'll make some for my brother.

I don't think I'd have to worry about what they would taste like after three days because they'd never last that long!

Going to make these tonight instead of Magic Cookie Bars. Will necesssitate a stop at the market on the way home but definitely worth it. Thanks for the recipe!

My favorite pattern this year..has to be Spring Garden T by Never Not knitting. I made three of them....that should tell you something.....

My favourite pattern this year was for fingerless mitts...found it at used all my sock yarn stash. They're easy and look great!

My favorite pattern this year made with sock weight yarn is the Ishbel scarf/wrap by Ysolda. I just love making them. I made three this year and have a fourth one on the needles now. You simply must have one for each jacket you own. The scarf takes 330 yds. and the wrap requires 610 yds. Thanks for the Xmas gift offering, it puts some extra "joy" into the holiday.
