Barbra Streisand's Jingle Bells

Sara Lee Albright

I'm not much into Christmas music, but I am VERY partial to a motion-sensitive wreath I hang every year outside my office at work : it has all these little cat heads wearing Santa hats, and when someone passes by, the cats all "sing" "I wish you a Merry Christmas!" as only cats can do !

Cyndy Landers

I love all Christmas music!! I have almost 100 Christmas CD's and I play them from Thanksgiving to New Year's!!!

The ones that always get stuck in my head are 'Have a Holly, Jolly Christmas', and 'Feliz Navidad' - I'm not sure if that makes them my favorite, or my least favorite. :P

Jean Folkerth

I love them all. I have lots of Christmas cds and work my way through them over and over.

I love "The Little Drummer Boy"! That was Grandma's favorite too! She passed away when I was 44 years old--she was 101(!), but that song always takes me back to some memory of being with her.

I'm not a big fan of holiday music, but I do like Good King Wenceslas - it's one of the few holiday songs my dad didn't heckle when I was a kid.

Linda B

How can you go wrong with the Christmas Cannon?? It's magical! Silent Night always makes me think of my Dad and how he loved Christmas with all the family together. This year would have been and will be extra special with his first great grandson, Cody.

We are big jazz fans in our house and one of our favorite CDs is God Rest ye Merry Jazzmen. The cd features Dexter Gordon, the Heath Brothers, and Pacquito D'Rivera. A classic for us!

Kathleen B.

Little Drummer Boy is one of my favorites as well. RAS Records Presents A Reggae Christmas includes a fun rendition!

I am definitely a fan of traditional Christmas music. Some of my favorites, and it's hard to narrow it down to just a few, are "Angels We Have Heard on High", O Holy Night" and "Carol of the Bells".

I'm a big Mannheim Steamroller fan.

Anne Clevenger

I love the Barenaked Ladies' version of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen."

Sandy H.

I love Christmas music and have almost 100 CDs that I even play in July to get psyched for Christmas knitting. My favorites are the Three Tenors. If you are into jazzy Christmas why not try some John Pizzarelli - he's a Jersey boy!

I admit it. I'm a Christmas music junkie, too. Every year I swear I will not purchase another Christmas CD. And every year I buy at least one, sometimes more. My favorite contemporary song is "Offering" and I really enjoy the Annie Moses Band recordings and Mannheim Steamroller, too.

kelly-ann (on ravelry)

This year is Feliz Navidad - the kids absolutely love the song.

bunny dimmel

sesame street, keep x-mas with you, all thru the year

OK. I admit it. I'm a Christmas music junkie. Each year, as I put away the Christmas CD's, I swear I will not purchase another one.......and my resolve holds until about November. My favorite song currently is "Offering". I also enjoy Celtic Thunder, the Annie Moses Band & Mannheim Steamroller....and then there's Bing Crosby and all the music from White Christmas..........understand my problem??

My favorite song is probably Do You Hear What I Hear sung by Vanessa Williams. But I have a mix of Christmas music that I play that goes from Josh Groban to I Want A Hippopotomus for Christmas.

It has to be Bing Crosby singing White Christmas.

I always play Loreena McKennit's To Drive the Cold Winter Away. It is certainly not standard Christmas fare, but I do like it!

Right now it is Bruce Springsteen's Santa Clause is Coming to Town, but only because that is what is currently playing. I like them all.

Mary C.

I never get tired of Jimmy Buffet's "Christmas Island". It reminds me of a Christmas we spent in Hawaii when our son was 3. Good memories. Mele Kalikimaka!

I have to admit that my all time favorite is practically any version of Oh Holy Night.

My husband has the largest selection of Christmas music I've ever encountered. Every year he makes a mix CD for friends. He starts working on the CD at Thanksgiving, so by this time I've heard A LOT of Christmas music. One of my faves is the Christmas CD by a group called Over the Rhine.

You're All I Want for Christmas sung by Brook Benton, Carol of the Bells, those are my top favorites right now. But I have quite a few Christmas cds on my itunes ranging from the very traditional to the way more eclectic.

I make an annual Christmas cd (I know! Who makes cds anymore?), so clearly I love holiday tunes. Despite the fact that it doesn't appear on this year's mix, "Silent Night" is so simple and so perfect that I'd probably have to list as my favorite.

I tend to hum whatever xmas song I heard last in the grocery store, but my personal favorites are those from a PBS xmas special featuring Peter, Paul, and Mary.

I love Christmas music and start on Thanksgiving. I tend to buy one Christmas CD a year. This year it's Susan Boyle, last year Michael Buble.I am getting to have quite a collection and look forward to it every year.

Funny you should say Diana Krall- my computer is playing her right now."I'm just crazy 'bout horses" I also enjoy Manhattan Transfer, Kenny G and Mannheim Steamroller. Jimmy Buffet reminds me of my Christmases in Florida and Nat King Cole of my very young years.

I like traditional Christmas carols/songs. Ding Dong Merrily on High is one of my favourites.

I am a big fan of Christmas music of most genres...there are a few that don't enjoy as much due to my traditional leanings!

All the traditional Christmas carols sung in church.

I admit it, I'm a Bah Humbug kind of person, so I listen to Christmas music that doesn't sound Christmasy - on old favorite is Celtic Christmas II a new favorite is Yo-Yo Ma's Joy and Peace.

Angels From the Realms of Glory. O Holy Night. The Nutcracker Suite. Nothing silly written after 1960. Nothing played as background music in stores.

I like lots of different Christmas music, both new and traditional. I belong to a choir, and the tunes that stick with me through the season are whatever we've been working on for this years performances. My family probably gets tired of hearing just the alto parts, but I can hear the other sections in my head!

little drummer boy/peace on earth with Crosby & Bowie, Christmas in Sarajevo and a couple of the older Mannheim Steamroller cds

I'm partial to Wham!'s "Last Christmas"

Patricia Richardson

I am partial to the traditional religious Christmas songs, with Oh Holy Night being my favorite. I also love to hear the Christmas song, sung by Nat King Cole.

This year it's been "Straight No Chaser" - an acapella group that started at Indiana University. Especially their Indiana Christmas - I find myself mumming it, or having it as an earworm... which is a good thing

In Albuq8uerque "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas . . . " We had 6 inches of snow yesterday. Sine we were married 9 years ago next Wednesday the 22 nd it is a big deal at this house. My very favorite is Vince Gil's is "Let there be peace on earth" and our song is Walking in a winter wonderland by just about anyone.

Janet Miller

I don't listen to a lot of Xmas music, but I have two favorite CDs. One is Nat King Cole doing Christmas tunes. My very favorite, though, is Josh Groban's Noel. He does a version of I'll Be Home for Christmas with recordings of US troops' personal messages home to loved ones in the background. Brings tears every time I hear it.

Oh Holy Night (in French).

I ADORE ALL Christmas music-- but especially fond of traditional and Celtic tunes! Oh, I love that Saffron yarn!

I think my favorites are The Christmas Song (Chestnuts roasting on an open fire), White Christmas, Silent Night, O Holy Night, Silver Bells, What Child is This, etc. You get the picture. I love them all but the old classics take me back to being young and how special my parents always made Christmas. Candelight service at church on Christmas Eve really pulls it all together.

Ruth Anne

My favorite all-time Christmas CD is The Partridge Family - I had it on vinyl in the 70's, on cassette tape in the 80's, and now on CD! I also love all-male acapella - Chanticleer and Straight No Chaser.

Patty McD

I love most all of them, although I'm not into "Alvin and the Chipmonks" Christmas songs. I have 50 or so albums and I start playing them the day after Thanksgiving. I really like Diana Krall's "Christmas Songs", Celtic Woman's "A Christmas Celebration" and the "Time Life Treasury of Christmas" because it has all the carols. I just learned how to put carols on my phone as ringtones, so I am having fun with that.

Sarah Brightman's Winter Symphony.

Big eclectic collection of Christmas music at my house and it is hard to pick a favorite. If I had to pick one I guess it would be Angels We Have Heard on High. It was my mother's favorite and hearing it brings back lots of fond memories of childhood.

I love the Mackenzie Brothers "12 Days of Christmas" ha, it cracks me up every time AND we always play "Grandma Got Ran Over by A Reindeer" though now that I am a grandma - I am not sure how funny it is!! ha.

Vivian Johnson

One of my favorites is Silent Night, O'Come all Ye Faithful is another one. I actually like all Christmas Music though.

I love all Christmas music. I made a mixed selection for the car until I found out two Bay Area stations play non-stop Christmas music from the week before Thanksgiving until Christmas. During this time of year, my car only plays Christmas music.

It depends on my mood. This year Handel's Messiah keeps playing in my head.

Mannheim Steamroller - Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer by Chris Isaak is fun. I love chorale groups too.

I generally like the classic carols, but I remember really enjoy the Merry Axemas CD that came out years ago - a rocking guitar take on some of the classics. Different, up-tempo and fun!

Patti Ritz

I love secular Christmas music such as White Christmas, Frosty the Snowman, etc.
But I also like the traditional church Christmas music and some of the old carols such as "I Saw Three Ships Come Sailing By."
My husband like to hear Josh Groban sing, especially "Ave Maria"

This years favourite is the new Celtic Thunder Christmas CD. Basically I like all Christmas music and have a huge CD collection that I work my way through each year(and add to each year as well).

I love Christmas! But, I also love The Grinch. Makes me smile every time!

Let it Snow! Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

I really like it when it starts to snow!!!

Bruce Springsteen's Santa Claus is coming to town and the CD with John Denver and the Muppets :)

"All I Ever Get For Christmas Is Blue"

sad songs make me happy. =)

My favorite is definitely the Nutcracker Suite. I can't wait to breakout this CD every year.

I love the Coventry Carol-itis an old English carol, seldom heard

My husband always plays the Chipmunks Christmas music. It's not Christmas with out it. It's drives me crazy! But I do love him!

Not one particular song, but anything by Straight No Chaser or James Taylor

I love them all, my favorite is o' Holy Night!

"In the Bleak Midwinter" is beautiful and not one that will drive you crazy.

The Glee version of We Need a Little Christmas has been stuck in my head most of the last couple of weeks, but I like to break it up with a does of the White Christmas soundtrack every now and again.

I have a wide variety of Christmas CDs but especially like Mannheim Steamroller and the Celtic ones.

I love Christmas music - the carols sung by the classic crooners are my favorite. You really can't beat Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby, Dean Martin... I think Dean Martin has the best rendition of "Baby It's Cold Outside" - you can almost picture him wooing his lady friend on the settee :)
I'm also a big fan of the Barenaked Ladies/Sarah McLachlan version of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman" - the harmony is unexpected and beautiful.

My very favorite Christmas song is "Mary Did You Know?". As a mother I identify with the feeling of looking at a tiny sweet soft baby and wondering what kind of person they are going to grow up to be.

Silver Bells is my favorite song. I also love all the music from The Muppet Christmas Carol - the song that the Ghost of Christmas Present sings that says Christmas is "a summer of the soul in December" really hits home right now.

Lisa Viviano

I love all Christmas music. Mix it up on the Ipod and start singing along.

My favorite is Nat King Cole singing The Christmas Song.

My favorite carol is "In the Bleak Midwinter." My next favorite is "Withers Rocking Hymn" by Peter Warlock. Both very traditional, very English.

I'm partial to carols and Christmas anthems--I sing in my church choir and a high point of the season is singing the Lessons and Carols service.

We Need a Little Christmas isn't a traditional carol, but I love it. Little Drummer Boy is the one that makes me cry. Oh, and O Come All Ye Faithful. English or Latin.

Santa's Got A Semi!

Okay, so it's not terribly traditional, but I love it. (Trivia: the song describes almost exactly how the Marine Corps Reserves decorate their vehicles for Toys for Tots)

Megan Hatch

My favorite Christmas album is Mannheim Steamroller. I could listen to that all year. I love Sleigh Bells and Carol of the Bells. hmmm, a theme perhaps?

Bob Seger's Little Drummer Boy. There ain't nothin' that Bob Seger and a 6 pack can't fix! lol

Thanks for the giveaway!!

Andrea W

My favorite Christmas Carol is a fairly new one. It is "Mary Did You Know?" I love Clay Aiken's verson. I first heard it sung by Kenny Rogers. I really makes you think...

I don't really have a favorite, but I do prefer the country Christmas songs. The ones on the pop stations seem so overplayed.

Cathy Goldman

give me the claswsics anytime......

Mary T

I like all Christmas music. I love the Barenaked Ladies cd and I got hooked on Straight no Chaser last year.

Robin Clark

I have a favorite Xmas CD made by the hosts on QVC. I guess my compulsive shopping even extends to Christmas music choices.

Susan C.

I love Carol of the Bells (although that Garmin commercial a few years ago almost ruined it for me). :)

I love Allen Jackson's "Let It Be Christmas" but it's not well known. My favorite carol is "O Come All Ye Faithful."

We listen to all kinds of non-pop Christmas music. Some medieval, some folk, some bluegrass! I'm especially fond of the quieter, simple pieces that are good to relax to. :)

Beverly Shearon

I love any rendition I can find of "Carol of the Bells" and "Do You Hear What I Hear". I love all genres of Christmas music - I start listening in November and go through the first half of January before I get tired of it.

Every year we have to listen to Amy Grant's Christmas CD.

My favorite is "Go Tell It on the Mountain"!

All Christmas music. I have a lot of Christmas cd's and buy more every year.

I have worked in retail most of my adult life, so quite frankly, most holiday music is just not enjoyable to me anymore. But I still really like Band-Aid's "Do They Know It's Christmas."

I often get Feliz Navidad stuck in my head, as well as Mariah Carey's all I want for Christmas. Thanks for hosting the giveaway!

For me it's not Christmas without Johnny Mathis, Andy Williams, Perry Como...and Jimmy Buffet! My kids don't like when I listen to Christmas music, so I haven't heard much lately. I did spring for the new Glee Christmas CD this their rendition of "Baby, It's Cold Outside"!

I love all the traditional carols and any choral work. Love, Love, Love!

I don't really have one favorite Christmas song. My son had his Holiday Program last night. He's been singing Frosty the Snowman and Jingle Bells over and over again for the last few weeks. Hearing him

I love Christmas music in general, but I lean more towards the traditional ones.

One vote for Eartha Kitt's immortal version of "Santa Baby."

I like almost all Christmas music. I look forward to playing it while I put the tree up and then throughout the holiday season.
