We are having stuffed pumpkins tomorrow night (recipe here: http://woodchuckacres.blogspot.com/2009/10/got-pumpkin.html), and yes, there will be roasted pumpkin seeds after. Addicting!

Mmmm...pie. Pumpkin pie. My brother and I played our parents many years ago--asking first mom then dad if we could have a piece of pie. Yay! We can have two pieces! We cut the pie in quarters...and ate the whole pie in under 10 minutes.

spent the night crying and drinking!!! ROTFL!!!! Only another mom can completely understand that statement!!

He is so cute in his outfits. Can't wait to see what he wears this year.

ditto Lynn's comments! I love Halloween - we start talking about it in August when we start discussing costumes. most years I've made the grands costumes but this year they all wanted to be HP characters (the oldest taught himself to read at age 4 & read all the HP novels that were then in print by his 6th BD - he keeps rereading them - he'll be 9 tomorrow & is eagerly awaiting the next one which is supposed to come out soon.) The oldest is going to be Lord Voldemort, the middle (the only one with my & his mom's brown hair & eyes & who wears glasses) is, of course, HP. The youngest is Hermione (she wanted to dye her hair brown!). We went to the Audobon Zoo in NO yesterday (mom & grandma misread the website & didn't realize the Halloween Boo at the Zoo was a separate admission, which we would have been perfectly happy to pay but it was sold out). Still had a great time - if you are ever in the area, don't miss the Audubon Zoo. Everyone associates NO with the French Quarter & Mardi Gras & heavy drinkingby adults but it has the best zoo & Aquarium (at least it used to - most of the Aquarium fish were killed during Katrina by the electrical outage & subsequent surge - I bet they've probably restocked). Today we are going to a celebration for little kids at the LSU Rural Life Museum & a corn maze with hayrides & other games. We head back to the Chicago area in the morning with the 3 grands who we will drop off at their Mamaw & Papaw's house in Mississippi so Mommy & Daddy can supervise the moving of their household goods into the house they've rented.
