Your baby blanket is beautiful! I love the colors you chose! My go-to baby blanket pattern is Big Bad Baby Blanket. But I may have to change that to Log Cabin.

That really is gorgeous - great choice of colors. And it will be useful for a lot more years not being in "baby" colors. If the baby is a boy, baby colors are rejected by the time they start school if not before. I knit a simple cowl for my daughter in Classy & she's worn it just about every cold day since I finished it last winter & it still looks fantastic. It really is great yarn & I love the semi-solid colorways so much more than true solids. They lend more depth to the colors.

Love the baby blanket and DIC is always wonderful! One of these days I'll have to try the worsted :) Don't kick yourself for knitting a gift... maybe instead of only knitting for yourself (which didn't work out) the goal should be only knitting on projects YOU want to knit on! That is still a great feeling!!!

If I ever pull the trigger, you better make that blanket for me!

Allison

Shera, when I first read your comment, I was reading it on my phone while James and I were sitting under the fleece blanket YOU made for him while he was having his morning milk sippy. It's the most used blanket in our house, so you my friend will be getting the mother of all baby blankets when you pull that trigger!

That is gorgeous. What pattern are you using? I like the idea of doing in yarns with subtle shadings.

Bev

So beautiful! The colors are perfect together.

Your blanket is perfect! I know because when I tried to knit the same pattern it curved together like A tube! Needless to say my granddaughter never got that blanket but she has had many other knitted gifts!

A colleague of my mom's crocheted my son a baby blanket before he was born. That was 24 years ago and it's still as good as new. Talk about the gift that keeps on giving!

Connie

What pattern is this and where can I find it? Lovely.
