I think the yarn and the pattern are lovely. I have a hard time also picking the right yarn for the pattern so thanks for sharing your experience with this!

I have to ask... I have no problem with multiple projects on the needles at once, but how in the world can you stand to leave socks with just the toes left?!

Once I get to the toes, I'll stay up until all hours finishing just because I'm so excited to have a complete pair of socks. (I just finished a pair of size 13 socks for my husband last night. And it's suppose to be in the 70s in Boston tomorrow. So I'm with you on the bad timing.)

Sarah- good question... I guess I just like watering projects more than finishing them. But I'll have to finish them this weekend because it does seem silly to be so close to finishing them. I want to wear them!

Just checked out the new issue of Knitty & it includes a sock pattern that I really like - using Simply Socks yarn in Wasabi (a color I've been meaning to get - I'll have to start a list in my iphone so I remember next time I'm ordering sock yarn).
