Um, no. I think every e-mail and comment made about my blog post was that you wouldn't part with $28 for a skein of Nichole. Though one of you who already purchased one, and I know you will really enjoy knitting it b/c it is a lovely, lovely yarn. But I just don't think I will sell much of it right now at the asking price. So, for now, there will be no Nichole at Simply Socks. But I may cave eventually and offer it b/c I do think there are many of you who didn't comment or e-mail, even though you really would like some. I think perhaps those that do want some just didn't want to comment against what seemed to be a vast majority? And if that is the case, I would be happy to special order it for you in the color of your choosing. Just e-mail me at [email protected] and I'm always willing to tack on a skein or two of something for you.
I do have some other beautiful sock yarns arriving here in the near (and somewhat distant) future, so keep your eye peeled (or your web browser pointed) to the blog so you can learn about those. One is a very special Valentine's color from Jen at Seacoast Handpainted Yarns in her Merino/Tencel yarn base. I'm addicted to that yarn base right now. It's sad, really.
I'm happy to share that today was a turning point for James and his swimming lessons. For the past 3 weeks, he has fought swimming a bit. Well, quite a bit at first. But today, something just "clicked" with him and halfway through his lesson he smiled and talked and applauded himself. A complete change and it thrills me!
This picture isn't recent, as he now floats on his own and can "swim" a few feet unassisted. But I haven't been taking pictures this week b/c I've been too entralled with what he's doing!
Thank you for posting the picture. I was wondering how was James doing. I am glad that he turned to the point to relax and enjoy the water, you must be thrilled. We do live by our children accomplishments once we have them. It never goes away, no matter how old they are. It will be nice to see some Valentine yarn.

Oh my goodness - James looks so big - not at all like a baby anymore! Where did the time go. I have to agree with you on the Seacoast Merino/Tencel yarn - I was just petting mine. I finished the Classy cowl I was knitting for one of my daughters & as soon as I finish my grand's socks, I'm gonna start something for myself with the gorgeous sock club yarn.
