Those of you who like knitting with Fleece Artist's Sea Wool (which just came in too!) will appreciate the new indie dyer I've added. Why's that? Because I've added Ocean sock yarn from Dianne at Creatively Dyed Yarn! Dianne's not new to the yarn business, in fact she owned a yarn store until she closed in 2007 to focus more completely on her own yarn line. She uses, from what I can tell, the same base yarn but dyes in some really amazing hues. See, Dianne hails from Trinidad and Tobago, a small caribbean island in the West Indies, and her passion for color is inspired by her birthplace. Each year, Dianne chooses a color from the Carnival Costume Colors- that color dominates in her work- this year that color is green. I think you'll really appreciate how Dianne works with color, so check out her selection. I'll be getting some of her merino too, so I'll blog when that arrives.
Like I mentioned above, I just received a great shipment from Fleece Artist of their Sea Wool yarn. Many colors have been restocked and a few new ones too. Dandelion, Pansy, Seafoam and Monarch are the new ones to check out.
**Instead of raising the price of the Fleece Artist yarn like I mention in a blog post awhile back, I chose to instead have the yarn come without the printed pattern. You can still get the pattern with purchase if you just e-mail [email protected] with your order number. All the yarn from new shipments will come without the printed pattern, but you still may get a printed pattern wrapped around the yarn if the skein comes from a previous shipment.
