Hang in there, Allison! I understand how difficult it is dealing with such serious illness in a loved one. Her time away will come to an end, and hopefully, she will be healthier when she returns. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers in the coming months. (((hugs)))

I know that I can't fully appreciate what you're going through right now, but I am sure it's been incredibly wearing. I will keep you in my prayers.

It's good that your mom is able to go where she feels she may get the best treatment possible - at the same time I can understand why you are missing her so much; it would be really hard for me. Keeping busy is good and thank goodness she is only two hours away....I will keep you and your mom in my thoughts and prayers. Please take care of yourself.

It's good that you're able to stay busy. And you're right, 2 hours isn't so far. You'll be able to visit, knowing that she'll be getting the best treatment. I know that doesn't make missing her any easier, but I'll continue to send positive thoughts to both you and your mom.

Hope all goes well for your mom, at least she will be close by. I understand what your going through. My Dad is having surgery next month and he is 7 hours away. Its very hard. I'll be keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Sorry to hear about your mom! I hope she is accepted, but I understand how you feel and why the holidays don't hold much cheer for you. I hope things will all work out okay.

Sometimes it just truly stinks- and it's okay to tell the world that it does. Families should be able to be together for the holidays... I am sorry that your family has to go through this awful illness, and I hope that your Mother finds healing in this next step of her journey.
Perhaps you'll have Christmas in January ?

This will be my first holiday season without my mom. Count your blessings.

You still have her with you.
