The yardage on the Anne is really great! I can usually get one pair of regular hight socks and one pair of anklets out of a skein (size 9.5 feet).

Am I being totally unhelpful when I say every color? :) I hope you are considering the cotton line, too!

Indira Gandhi, Jane Addams, and Louisa May Alcott are my favorites. I've been wanting to try Anne for a while - I look forward to your review as do my size 10 feet:)

Oh, pretty pretty please!! :) I finished a pair of "evening stockings for a young lady" here: and I loooove it. Its amazing, even with a very very long leg and 10" feet, I have a lot left over. I love knowing I won't run out, the colors, the yarn itself... etx. :)

Oh! Colorways-- Toni Morrison, Clara Barton... I really like their solid, tone on tone colors-- I'm a sucker for reds, but I'm sure they could wrestle out some amazing other almost solids.

Oh goodness, I really like them all! My favorites though are Eleanor Roosevelt, Indira Gandhi, Everywoman,Renata Tebaldi,Harriet Tubman and Elena Piscopia.

Hummm are they only doing the memorable woman colors? They used to have one called Autum. I would DIE for that yarn now.

I love their "almost solid" type colors - Clara Barton, Everyday Woman, Lousia May Alcott. I also liked Tink, Wendy and Kermie! I looove reds and oranges!

What about the kid lines? I love the women's colors, but the kids' are really neat, too.

Favorite colors: Eleanor Roosevelt, Everywoman, Louisa May Alcott, Huck, Kermie, and Mr. Funny. My fave FAVE FAVORITE is Kermie!

I made Clapotis out of Anne (on size 8 needles) but have never tried socks. I'm looking forward to it. And also to the opportunity to buy more needles. :) For me, Anne was too slippery to work on Addis (on the Clapotis). I'm curious to try the yarn at the gauge at which it was intended to be knit.

I love the kids line! Anything bright is my vote

I have a skein all wound and at the ready. Like you, I'm anxious to try it. Women's colors: first - Clara Barton, Louisa May Alcott, Eleanor Roosevelt; second - Indira Gandi and Gertrude Ederle. Kid's colors: first - Kermie, Hermione, Woody; second - Spanky, Huck, Snoopy's Crayons.

I can't wait to hear how you like that yarn. I've been itching to get my fingers into some as well :-) PLUS, we might be going near there on our vacation in a few weeks, and I might just have to "stop by" and say hi to them !

My votes are in code below:

"All the boys think she's a spazz..."

"Ah ha, hush that fuss
Everybody move to the back of the bus
Do you wanna bump and slump with us
We the type of people make the club get crunk"

The quotes are by Anne and Outkast respectively.

You know, Anne's the one that commented that SSYC would be better if it had MORE COWBELL. Maybe she should get a prize too....

All of them!!! I know not very helpful but I like all of them. My LYS had a few skiens in at one point but it was at a time when I was trying to reduce my sock stash. And she isn't sure if she will be carrying the yarn again since people thought the cost was too high?!?! I would love to try it.

I'd have to give it to her. That's just too damn funny.

These are my favorites. I would love to make socks from Anne, I'll be checking to see when you get some in.
