To be fair, the most recent Wanda incident wasn't necessarily her fault. I mean she's only a car. She can't force me to avoid potholes. But maybe she could help? I have never lost a tire to a pothole, but today my record has been marred. For while I was driving down Lake Avenue through a torrential downpour, I hit a pothole and lost my rear passenger side tire. Why is it that I bust a tire when the weather was horrid? And why oh why didn't I have my cell phone with me? And, again, WHY was I wearing two inch heels? Grrrrrr. None of these conditions are great for replacing a tire. But luckily VW Roadside Assistance IS.
On a more positive note, I have made a bit of progress in my Blooming Feet sock. She's-uh-lookin' purty, I think. I think this pic shows off the color better than the pattern, because I'm not great with the camera, obviously. And you can't really tell much about the sock's pattern from this pic. It's the photographer, not the sock. I take complete blame for my lack of photography skills.
But doesn't the color remind you of a forest canopy? I mean, I've never seen a rainforest before- the closest for me would be on my honeymoon when we visited Belize. So I guess I'll have to assume that this is very "rainforest canopy." Anyone know firsthand?
I was thinking of taking a break from the sock to make a Multi directional scarf . I even went to my LYS for a spur of the moment purchase. But I was dismayed to find a very picked over store and only a few things I thought would work. My sister wants one of the scarves and I told her I would make her one. But she is very particular about the colors- she wants dark reds, black gray and white and I can't find anything yet that I really like for her. For ME, I have found lots. But I need another scarf like I need more fat on my thighs.
Great socks! I can see the pattern, sort of. :) And that is a great color!
