Last week included a lot of firsts for James. First time being a first grader. First time riding the bus. First time having a locker.
Also the first time being tackled with hugs by his little brother when he ran off the bus. It was definitely the cutest thing I've ever seen. Henry latched on and wouldn't let go the entire way up the driveway.
It was a really nice week. I had some great alone-time with little Henry, something I hadn't had all summer. The dynamic is so different with just one of them at home- more relaxing, QUIET, and many more snuggles.
This week we are preparing for the big Super Sale here at the shop on Saturday. The details are all here. It will be busy that day, but I think we are alleviating a lot of the hustle and bustle by giving out numbers. That way, when you get here, if there's a wait to get in the sale area you can simply take a number and browse. Or go across the street and enjoy a cup of coffee or a pastry and knit for a bit and then come back over when it's your time to enter the sale section. I'm really looking forward to the day and seeing all the excitement over the great yarn and fab prices. We offer great deals when we can in the sale section, but this is a bit different. Over the past few years, we've amassed some wonderful one-off's from test skeins that dyers send us for kits, singles left from clubs, dye ideas from our own Poste Yarn studio, accessories and bags that seem to multiply on their own... just A LOT of great stuff that will all go to new homes.
