Now here's something I need right now. Extra warm socks in bright cheerful color. Thank you to Opal for giving me an infusion of something that I'm so lacking right now in the XL Snowflake collection!
Opal has released their newest collection, and it's one of those thicker light-worsted weight sock yarns that they only release once every year or two. So if you, like me, are stuck in a place where the snow just doesn't stop and white is everywhere you look, these colors may be just what you need to lift those winter blues (or whites).
Each ball is 150 grams (50% more than the 4ply collections), which means you'll have plenty for a very large pair of socks, or perhaps even two small/medium pairs. And like all Opal yarn, it tolerates machine washing and drying very well. While I don't often machine dry mine, I know they can tolerate it and come out just fine on a regular basis. Opal is one of those yarns that you can gift a pair of socks to someone and not worry about how they'll be cared for. So if you are looking for thick, warm socks, give the 8ply Snowflake collection a try.
