It's the time of year that warrants that rare weekend post. It's time to debut the new Dream Club from Dream in Color! For the past three years, this is a time of year I look forward to. Dream in Color spends half a year devising special colorways and pairing them with a designer to give us something awesome. Then the next half year is spent releasing those combinations each month, September through February. You don't have to sign up for the whole six months, you simply check the SSYC website on the first of each month and see if the new release tickles your fancy. You snag it if it does, or leave it for another knitter if it doesn't.
I highly recommend clicking to "embiggen" the photo. The colors are gorgoeus and have much more depth in person, as natural light brings out the amber, olive, plum and maroon in each skein. I think the photos are great, but this dynamic colorway is so amazing in person.
For September, I have something gorgeous and rich- perfect for inspiring our fall knitting. This special edition color is dyed on Smooshy with Cashmere and comes with this Menagerie pattern- an accessory designed by Kay Dahlquist that is tied under the arms to resemble a lacy shrug. If you'd like the pattern, just e-mail me at email@example.com after your purchase and I'll e-mail it back. If you'd like to knit something larger, or want more than one skein for your stash, then you are welcome to purchase two or more.
The Dream Club skeins often sell out in a day or two. I do have a bit more on it's way already, as I know this one will be popular. Please do be patient with us getting your shipments out the door. Not only will we have shorter week because of the holiday and more packages to ship out than usual, but USPS won't start back up til Tuesday. We will all be working extra to get these in your hands though!
It's a great deal- a special skein and a pattern for the cost of just the yarn. I'm stashing more than one of these, myself. I can see a drop stitch scarf in my future, with perhaps some matching Knotty gloves. Can you imaging wearing cashmere gloves this winter? Or the pleasure someone special will get wearing such a luxurious gift?
