Leave it to Lorna's Laces to create a tribute to Downton Abbey that already has knitters clammoring to get it on their needles. I have for you the newest special selection from the Chicago dyer, Christmas at Downton. If you are as addicted to this drama as I am, you know you can't live without this.
I have it for you in Shepherd Sock (above), Solemate and Sportmate (below).
Want some pattern suggestions for this romantic take on jewel-tones? I'm often asked for patterns that break up the long splashes of color in the way Lorna's Laces dyes, and here are ones that I think would be fabulous for Shepherd Sock: Spring Foward from Knitty, Lizard Ridge by Alexandra Walters, Aquaphobia Socks by Crystal Flanagan.
And if you want some stripey goodness on your needles, the three Poste Yarn Valentine colors are now available-and with names! Thank you so much for your wonderful suggestions for how to name these colorways. All three names came from you all, and you can bet I'll be asking for your input in the future.

If I had known you were going to get your hands on some of this, I would have waited and bought it from you! I'm obsessed with Downton Abbey :-)

Hermione's Everyday Socks, free on Ravelry, is also a nice, easy pattern for yarns that pool.
