So, um, yeah. Seems the server went down a few hours after the Mother's Day kit came out..... hahaha.... oops. Never underestimate the power of the sock knitter.
Obviously you all gave me a run for my money on Thursday, I received several frantic e-mails and calls asking if the kit had sold out, when really you caused the website (and the other sites hosted on the same server) to go down. heheheheh.....heheheh.... ahem.
So for those of you who thought that the webite crashing down meant that the kits were gone, I do have more kits for you. While I have just a few more Green Kits, I spent time packing up more Pink Kits for you this weekend, so those will still be available. I'm doing my best to order enough parts of the kit to keep them in stock for a few more days, but as I've mentioned before, each part is hand made and so I can only get a certain amount of all the components and then it's gone.
I'm really glad you like this kit so much!
I also did a bit of knitting this weekend and finished a pair of socks that only had the toe to bind off. These were knit with a sock club offering from last year- Pagewood Farm's Alyeska (merino/cashmere/silk) in the special edition Garden Party colorway. Sorry, but I don't have any more of this color, and as it was part of the club, I can't get any more.
I've also discovered that I may have a fabric-collecting problem, as I've started amassing fabric for various table linens. Keep in mind that I have yet to learn how to properly sew...

cute socks! love the yarn...
can you share the pattern?
thanks:)

The pattern is the Embossed Leaves socks from this book: http://www.interweavestore.com/Knitting/Books/Favorite-Socks.html
I've knit the pattern at least 4 times since the pattern was in IK Magazine in 2005. It's one of my faves.

Since when does collecting fabric have anything to do with sewing?? Kind of like yarn and knitting; sure you can knit with the yarn you collect, but it's not a requirement. That's my logic!!

Well being ill has stopped my bank balance getting hit!
I would have had to have the Celadon Green as I have Celadon as a blog name and Celadon as part of my Rav name too.

Yes, sorry Susan, the kit with the green bag has sold out. But I do have the pink bag kit left.

Fabric addiction is very low on the totem pole of addictions. I learned that from my Momma. Do like I did and put a dresser in the guest room full of odd fabrics. You never know when you'll need them.

Shera, yet another reason to buy more furniture. I like it.
