Who wants Malabrigo Sock Yarn?

I do!  I do!

In case you haven't already heard, Malabrigo Yarn's new sock yarn will be arriving here in the US shortly.  Tobias at Malabrigo told me on Friday that Simply Socks' large shipment will arrive in early-mid November.  Can I just get an "Aw yeah"?  It's been a long wait for this yarn, but it's gonna be worth it!

There has been gossip for over a year about Malabrigo developing a sock yarn.  Many of you are already collect their lace weight and merino worsted weight yarns, and for good reason.  Malabrigo's sock yarn is kettled dyed by a women's cooperative in Uruguay, in a many semi-solid and variegated colorways.  There are 24 available in all, and I will have lots of it for you in a few short weeks.

I hadn't even heard any rumors about the Malabrigo - all I can say is YUM! I love the lace weight & worsted weight & the colorways for the sock yarn look gorgeous. Ooooh - the Velvet Grapes!

just got the Nov. newsletter from my lys stating they'll be getting it in Nov. they're taking pre-orders and their stated list price is $10!!!! (no I won't tell you where the shop is, sorry)

I love the Abril color 853. Is it a semi-solid color or a variegated one? Do we have to pre-order? I have heard a lot of good things about this yarn and want to try some. Thank you Allison.

Mel, I feel bad for your LYS, b/c that's a BIG TYPO that they will have to follow through on. $10 a skein is less than wholesale...
I ordered an insane amount of this yarn, and I don't believe I'll be doing pre-orders. If I do, I'll post it here.
