I really appreciate all the e-mails and comments that have come after my last post. It's really something to come home and read notes of encouragement and support.
Last night, I spent my evening unpacking a TON of Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock yarn, which is now up at the website. Okay, I watched Footballers Wives too. Shut it. Lots of Multicolors and Stripes are coming in the next couple weeks, but most of the Nearly Solids are here. I've finished my mom's chemo cap (it's drying, or I would take pics), so I'm now pondering Lorna's Laces yarn for my Toasty Toes sock pal. From what I have learned about her, she likes hot, vivid colors, and I think that the Flames (at left) colorway might be for her. What do you think? The combo of pinkish-reds, burgundy, orange, and yellow seems to shout her name, but I don't really know! I'm also considering Interlacements Tiny Toes in 204-Summer Fruit (above right). Of course, I haven't chosen a pattern yet. But I tend to stick with ribs, mock cables or lacy ribs that are forgiving when knitting for someone whose foot I have never seen.
So what color would you want your socks? The Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in the Flames colorway? Or the Interlacements Tiny Toes in 204-Summer Fruit? I'm leaning toward the Flames. But I just might let the majority rule. I tend to like cool colors, so I'm afraid of choosing the wrong thing!
