I have randomly chosen the winners of the SSYC Anniversary Contest. There were over 600 entries, and the winners of the prizes are as follows:
The Grand Prize of an 11-size assortment of Crystal Palace double point needles goes to: Heather in Kansas. Heather says that she is "so excited about winning the prize. I have not yet use CP needles, but I have heard such wonderful things about them. I can't wait to get them." Heather has a blog at www.dejhia.blogspot.com, if you would like to visit and offer your congratulations.
The Frist Runner up is: Linda in Illinois. Linda gets the very large skein (enough for 2 pairs of socks) of Interlacement's Toasty Toes in the colorway 407-Tapestry. Linda says that she has "never knit with any of the Interlacements yarns and am VERY EXCITED to have the opportunity. The colorway I won is just the perfect colors for me and I am going to be looking through my extensive sock pattern stash to find just the perfect sock pattern to show it off. Thank you so much for this wonderful surprise. I can hardly believe it!"
The Second Runner up is: Diane in Pennsylvania. Diane gets the lovely Candace pattern, compliments of Bees Knees Knits. Diane has SEVEN grandchildren, "two just born this year, so I am sure that the pattern will be used for them!"
I really liked doing this contest- and really enjoyed reading what you all had to say about the store and the blog in all your e-mails. So I think I may do contests more often. But most likely spur-of-the-moment blog contests like the one last month with the SNL "more cowbell" question. Perhaps trivia too.... I'll just have to see.
