Interlacements has decided to bring back their fingering weight yarn!! Tiny Toes is a new fingering weight yarn put up in 50 gram skeins of 185 yards. It is not the same as the Little Toes sock yarn that Interlacements discontinued. From what I understand, it is one ply thinner- 7 stitches to the inch on US 2. Though looks to me like I'll be using US #1 on this. I always seem to knit on needles a size down from what the manufacturer recommends, cause I like a tight weave. Anyone else like this?
I'm all about trying out this delicious sample skein that was sent to me. I mean, the vivid color alone is enough to make me order crates of it. But I NEED to knit this up first to decide. It's just begging to be knit.
Many thanks to Judy Ditmore and the gang at Interlacements Yarns for hearing our cries for more sock yarn. While we adore Toasty Toes dk-weight yarn, Judy Ditmore's color combinations just cry to be applied to fingering weight yarn. And hoepfully soon Simply Socks Yarn Company can offer a wide array, like we do of the Toasty Toes.
Oh, and this new yarn comes with a free pattern from Interlacements too. I'll keep you posted over the progress with this yarn. I'm planning on a simple 2x2 rib.
