Fall is coming, and so is more DK weight yarn! If you are one of the numerous knitters who have requested more DK weight at SSYC, then you will be super pleased to see some additions coming soon to Simply Socks Yarn Company. I'm adding all of Opal's new DK weight (see pics here) yarn and all of Lily Chin's Gramercy Yarn (pics here) very soon. And if you are a subscriber to KnitNet, then you will notice a new sock pattern featuring Gramercy yarn in the October issue.
These two lines will be great for fall's cooler temperatures. They also knit up quicker than fingering weight sock yarns, helping us all get our holiday gifts finished sooner.
On another note, the new fall line up of TV shows is in full effect. Last night, I enjoyed my boyfriend, Josh Duhamel, on Las Vegas. As knitting was not an option b/c of the thumb, I was able to devote my full attention to him. I'm so looking forward to the new Alias season. That's one show that I can't knit during. I'm sure you all have shows you can't knit during... any other suggestions?

I really really love House on Fox. I don't knit during that. I also put down the needles for 24 when that airs. There's also CSI in its various incarnations that are good attention grabbers.

Hmmm. House. Haven't seen that yet.
Did see CSI Miami earlier this week. Blech. What happened? That show used to at least be tolerable. Now it's just an excuse to throw around some hip Miami gang lingo. Here's hoping that the regular ol' CSI premier is better! Otherwise, they might lose me. I'm sure the networks execs are crying about that...

I undid the Dublin Bay sock and started a new one using 60 stitches instead of 72. I'm sure it will be much better.
